Description: Staple-bound in card covers. Light wear to covers; rear cover has a short closed tear to its top edge; some wear at top centimeter of spine. Remnant of a price sticker on the first page, else pages clean. Fully illustrated. 37 pp. 11.5 x 11.5 inches.

Photographs of horse and cattle ranching on the range of the Green River Valley: 186,000 acres of semi-desert, sagebrush laden land that at one point was the summer home to twenty-four thousand head of cattle. Each photograph is briefly described. Includes short biographical and historical backgrounds on Rungius, Lozier, and the Upper Green River Cattle Association, as well as a short account of Abner Luman's 1919 trip from Wyoming to New Mexico. Includes two maps. The last page includes name identification for many of the cowboys in the photographs (when not initially identified in the captions).

Carl Rungius (1869-1959) became one of the most important big game painters and was the first career wildlife artist in North America.

Roy W. Lozier (1900-1981, pictured on the cover) was a Sublette County rancher. His parents moved to Wyoming in May of 1900 and homesteaded on Willow Creek.

Doris Platt (1928-2015) was an local historian and author. She worked more than twenty summers at the Half Moon Ranch and later at Trail Creek Ranch.
