Robert James was the pseudonym of Iris Little Heitner (1910-2003), the sister of the mystery novelists, Constance and Gwenyth Little. Iris was born in England to Australian parents and immigrated to the United States in the 1920's.
Paul Galdon (1907-1986) was an American illustrator, best known for his children's picture books.
