The author explores, in imaginative verse, some of the strange and scary noises that one hears only in the dark and quiet of the night, when we're tucked safely in bed. The wild and wonderful fantasies these sounds bring to mind are bought to life in Jim Marshall's engaging illustrations. This was Marshall's first book of illustrations.
