Carolyn Moore (1944-2019) taught creative writing and literature at Humboldt State University for many years. She received many awards and honors for her poetry, including the New Millennium Writing Award, the Foley Poetry Prize, the C. Hamilton Bailey Poetry Fellowship from Literary Arts, the White Pine Poetry Press Prize, and the H. G. Roberts Foundation's Writing Award.
