Memoir of Harvery Maddux and his life at the Wells Homestead on the Trask River, near the old Trask Toll Road, and just south of the Trask House, in the early 1900s.
The author, George Harvey Maddux (1902-1995), was the grandson of Nathaniel Augustin Wells, a pioneer who came west in the late 1870's, and after a short residence in La Grande, settled near Tillamook on the Trask River around 1882.
