One page has a one-inch tear at spine in its upper left corner. 15 full-page brightly colored illustrations and several smaller two-tone illustrations. 64 unnumbered pages. 8.5 x 5.8 inches.

Berta Hader (1890-1976) and Elmer Hader (1889-1973) were a Caldecott Medal-winning American couple who jointly illustrated and wrote children's books.

Jean Murdoch Peedie, as Jean Murdoch, had been a nationally known vaudeville star in the 1910's. After retiring from show business, she wrote this, her first (and apparently only) children's book.
