Double inscribed to Harold and Eleanor Bangs: first, by the author, and then by Frank Branch Riley (1875-1975), one of the founding members of the Mazamas who signed its charter upon the summit of Mount Hood, and the club's president in 1915-1916. Harold Bangs was a Mazamas old-timer who had been an active climber since the early 1930s and who served on various club committees (climbing, library, local walks, house, lodge) in the 1940s through the 1980s.
