A verbatim transcription of the Vestry Book of Antrim Parish. It is comprised of the Minutes of meetings held by the Vestry of the Parish of Antrim, which was established at the time Halifax County was formed from Lunenburg County. It included the present counties of Pittsylvania, Henry, and Patrick Counties until 1767 when Pittsylvania County was separated from Halifax and Camden Parish was formed.
The summary marginal notes in the original Vestry Book are shown in parentheses before the paragraph in which they refer. Meetings were held on a regular basis until the Revolutionary War. After that time, meetings were held less frequently.
