Author: Roger C. Dodson

Newly drawn plat maps (based on the original surveyors descriptions and drawings), laid side-by-side with the matching contemporary USGS map. The maps show Halifax County, as it is drawn today, but also includes a small part of Mecklenburg County (the part couth of the Roanoke River) and a very small part of Pittsylvania County. Introductory seven-page explanation of the process by which the author developed his maps, with various notes concerning mapping and about how surverys/deeds were treated, etc.
