First American edition (later reissued under the title Blood and Sand) of Blasco Ibanez's 1908 novel, Sangre y arena. It has been made into a movie multiple times, including those with starring roles for Rudolph Valentino, Tyrone Power, Rita Hayworth, and Sharon Stone. The first adaptation was directed by Blasco Ibanez himself.
